Vintage bridal shoes

It’s sort of ridiculous how much fun I had doing this!

You’re looking at a pair of 60 year old bridal shoes, passed down from a grandmother to her bride-to-be granddaughter. A perfect fit. I can’t think of a more special “something old” / “something borrowed”!

Despite being stored with great care, they were severely discolored. I suspect that the aged glue had seeped through the lining and into the fabric, causing the yellowing. I gently cleaned them up and dyed them to (what I hope is) as original as possible! They’ll also receive some new rubber heel tips to replace the aged metal ones before they are returned to the bride. This is a great example of what we can do to give your precious sentimental items some much deserved TLC ☺️
